Aarupadai Veedu Institute of Technology (AVIT) Chennai was established in 1998 and is affiliated with Anna University. In 2004 AVIT Chennai became a constituent college of Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation (VMRF). The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Council of Architecture (COA), Government of India. AVIT Chennai is accredited by NAAC with an “A” grade and NBA. AVIT Chennai courses are offered at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The institute offers UG courses under 10 specialisations and PG courses under seven specialisations in both full time and part time mode.
